Reception: Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront
Photographer: West House Visuals
Some weddings are beautiful, but others are truly timeless. Edward and Erika’s December wedding in the heart of downtown Jacksonville was a perfect blend of classic tradition, modern style, and heartfelt celebration. With a breathtaking ceremony at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and an elegant waterfront reception at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville, their day was the perfect finale to 2024’s wedding season.
A Sacred Ceremony at the Basilica
The couple exchanged vows inside one of Jacksonville’s most breathtaking landmarks — the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, a neo-Gothic masterpiece that provided a stunning backdrop for their Catholic ceremony.
As soft winter light filtered through the stained-glass windows, Erika walked down the aisle in a breathtaking Allure Bridal gown, radiating grace and poise. Her gown’s intricate lace detailing and timeless silhouette perfectly complemented the grandeur of the cathedral.
Tony Eid, the ceremony musician, filled the space with soaring melodies that elevated the already moving moment. With family and friends surrounding them, Edward and Erika said “I do” in a ceremony that felt sacred, emotional, and full of meaning.
The Bride’s Look: Classic Beauty Meets Modern Glam
Erika’s bridal look was the picture of sophistication, elegant, romantic, and effortless. Her gown, designed by Allure Bridal, paired beautifully with her sparkling accessories from Kishek Jewelers, adding just the right amount of shimmer for a winter wedding.
Every detail, from her veil to her bouquet, came together flawlessly. Deerwood Florist designed lush floral arrangements filled with winter-white blooms and touches of greenery, creating a timeless and elegant floral palette that carried throughout the day.
An Elegant Reception at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville
Following the ceremony, guests gathered at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront — one of the city’s premier downtown venues, known for its panoramic views of the St. Johns River and its stunning grand ballroom.
The space was transformed by Posh Rentals and Beachview Rentals, who created a luxurious atmosphere with rich textures, candlelight, and elegant table settings. Every detail was carefully coordinated by the talented team at Mousa Events, who also designed the invitations and managed the flow of the evening with expert precision.
Dinner was prepared by the Hyatt’s culinary team, who delivered an unforgettable dining experience that blended refinement and comfort making it the the perfect balance for a fall celebration. Guests later indulged in an array of delicious desserts by Catering by Yasmeen, whose artistry and flavor turned the sweets table into a show-stopping highlight.
Captured with Heart and Style
West House Visuals beautifully documented the day, capturing every detail and emotion from the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the couple’s first dance overlooking the city skyline. Their cinematic photography and storytelling perfectly reflected the warmth and sophistication of the celebration.
Meanwhile, Michael Anclin Media brought the day to life on film, ensuring that Edward and Erika will be able to relive every laugh, tear, and dance for years to come.
An Unforgettable Celebration
Once dinner concluded, it was time to dance and DJ Mario kept the energy high all night long. His music brought everyone to the dance floor, from the couple’s youngest guests to their grandparents, making it a true all-ages celebration.
Mousa Events added even more fun with a sleek photo booth experience, where guests posed for playful pictures and created keepsakes to remember the night.
Throughout the evening, the ballroom glowed with joy, laughter, and love. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
